  • Larry Lenhart, Carrier IQ

With a background in running and advising technology companies, Larry joined Carrier IQ from Mohr Davidow Ventures where he worked closely with entrepreneurs, research institutions and investors in information technology. He has 18 years of leadership experience in growing and managing technology and service-based businesses with specific expertise in software, internet services and infrastructure technology.

Prior to Mohr Davidow, Larry was the CEO for a number of technology companies resulting in successful acquisition exits and an IPO. Before his CEO experience, Larry was a managing partner at Deloitte Consulting and at AT Kearny, where he provided strategic and operational expertise across the globe with his clients at EDS, AT&T, New Jersey Bell, E-Trade, Novell, Federal Express, GM, Saudi Aramco, Bank of South Africa, and DuPont, among others.

Larry is on the Board of Trustees for Emory and Henry College, where he was a Garnand Scholar. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and computer science from Emory & Henry and received an MBA from the Darden School of Business at The University of Virginia


  • Bruce Leak,

As a co-founder of WebTV networks, Bruce was instrumental in the conception and deployment of the world's first consumer Internet appliance and service. Later, as President of Microsoft's WebTV Network subsidiary, Bruce was responsible for the growth and management of the business in excess of one million customers and $300 million in revenue. Prior to WebTV, Bruce held senior management and engineering roles at Rocket Science Games and General Magic Inc. He began his career at Apple Computer, where he invented and brought to market QuickTime and 32-bit QuickDraw. A graduate of Stanford University with bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering, Bruce also holds several technology patents.


  • Jon Feiber, Mohr Davidow Ventures

Jon joined MDV in 1991 where his primary focus is networking and computing systems investments. In more than 10 years of venture investing he has identified and guided numerous entrepreneurs and played a significant role in growing category-leading companies. Jon launched his career at Amdahl where he served as a Senior Engineer. He joined Sun Microsystems in 1983 where he worked in managerial positions overseeing product development and strategy in the areas of software development, software engineering technologies and networking. When he left Sun to join MDV he was Sun's Vice President of Networking. Jon is a member of the Caltech Information Science and Technology Advisory Board. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Colorado.


  • Martin Gibson, Accel Partners

Martin has been active in international technology start-ups and venture capital for 18 years and focuses on the communications and semiconductor sectors.

Prior to Accel, Martin was a Partner at Atlas Venture in London where he invested primarily in communications and semiconductor businesses for 9 years. Whilst at Atlas Venture, Martin sat on the boards of DisplayLink, Phyworks, Azea Networks (acquired by Xtera), and Zinwave. He also worked closely with Orthogon Systems (acquired by Motorola), Icera Semiconductor, Ubiquisys, Radioscape and Xelerated. Previously, he was a general manager and consultant at Scientific Generics, a business & technology consulting firm, focused on technology-driven commercial products. Earlier in his career, while at start-ups Cellstack and Madge Networks, he was responsible for video and data communications products for enterprise markets. He also worked within ANSI and the ATM Forum defining new communications standards.

Martin has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, a BA in Electrical & Information Science from Cambridge University and qualified as a Chartered Engineer.


  • Bruce Sachs, Charles River Ventures

Bruce joined CRV in the fall of 1999, bringing 20 years experience in the telecommunications, networking, Internet and computing industries. Bruce is a director of several private and public companies, including iControl, BigBand Networks, Celerica, Cedar Point Communications, Acopia Networks and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:VRTX). Previously, Bruce served on the boards of American Internet (acquired by Cisco Systems), C-Port (acquired by Motorola), Arrowpoint (Nasdaq:ARPT) and Media 100 (Nasdaq:MDEA).

Bruce led Charles River investments in Flarion Technologies (acquired by QUALCOMM), River Delta Networks (acquired by Motorola), and Hammerhead Networks (acquired by Cisco Systems), and served on all three boards. Prior to joining Charles River Ventures, Bruce served as executive vice president and general manager of Ascend's (now Lucent Technologies, Nasdaq:LU) Carrier Signaling and Management Group. Bruce joined Ascend in October 1998 through its acquisition of Stratus Computer. At Stratus he served as president and CEO, repositioning the company through the integration of telecom software and services onto its traditional computing foundation.

Bruce holds a master of engineering in electrical engineering from Cornell University, an MBA from Northeastern University and a BS in electrical engineering from Bucknell University.


  • Dominic Endicott, Nauta Capital

Dominic has over 20 years of global management and consulting experience, across North America, Europe and Latin America. He manages Nauta Capital’s operations in North America, and is Nauta’s representative on the Carrier IQ Board. He previously managed North American operations for Cluster Consulting, a company owned by the founders of Nauta, and acquired in 2000 by Diamond Technology Partners. As a consultant with BCG, Monitor and Booz Allen, Dominic has worked extensively with global wireless operators, their suppliers and content partners. Dominic has an undergraduate degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a Master’s degree in management from MIT’s Sloan School. Nauta's US operations are based in Boston, and its European operations are based in Barcelona.


  • Matthew Cowan, Bridgescale Partners

Matthew Cowan is a co-founder of Bridgescale Partners and brings more than 17 years of investing experience. Prior to forming Bridgescale, Matthew was the founding general partner of Bowman Capital's venture capital group in 1998, focusing on expansion-stage technology companies. While at Bowman, Matthew was responsible for leading investments in Arrowpoint Communications (sold to Cisco), Atheros (NASDAQ: ATHR), Broadbase (sold to Kana), epinions (sold to eBay), FastForward Networks (sold to Inktomi), Onebox (sold to Phone.com), ONI Systems (sold to Ciena), RemarQ (sold to Critical Path), SupportSoft (NASDAQ: SPRT), Sycamore Networks (NASDAQ: SCMR) and TheStreet.com (NASDAQ: TSCM).

Jeffrey Althaus Senior Vice President, Operations and Worldwide Sales

As Senior Vice President of Operations and Worldwide Sales, Jeffrey is responsible for growing the company's global market position and delivering carrier-grade solutions through professional services, hosting services, and customer support while managing the worldwide sales organization's expansion throughout the global markets.

Most recently, Jeffrey helped lead the Self Service team at Siebel Systems to a record year prior to being acquired by Oracle. Prior to Siebel, Jeffrey helped eDocs accelerate revenue from $15M to $50M revenue in three years. Before eDocs, Jeffrey led the top team at Pivotal Corporation, helping to drive revenue from $10M to $110M in three years. Prior to Pivotal, Jeffrey was a top contributor at Bankers Systems, helping grow the company from $30M to $100M in revenue.

Jeffrey earned a Bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin.


  • Andrew Coward, Vice President of Marketing, Strategy & Product Management

Andrew is a network industry veteran with global executive leadership and innovation experience in technical development, sales, and marketing.

Most recently, Andrew held various global Vice President positions at Juniper Networks, including VP Market Intelligence, VP Service Provider Marketing, and VP Technical Operations. Prior to Juniper Networks, Andrew co-started the Asia Pacific offices of Unisphere Networks, a Siemens-funded start-up company that Juniper acquired. In these and other positions, Andrew consulted with a wide variety of service providers, enterprises, and governments for whom he designed and planned some of the largest networks in APAC and the first government backbone IP networks in the United Kingdom.


  • Cal Hoagland, Chief Financial Officer

With 20 years of financial leadership experience in fast growth start-ups and multinational technology companies, Cal joined Carrier IQ from FLG Partners, LLC, a leading Silicon Valley chief financial officer services and board advisory firm. At FLG and prior, he has served in CFO and other financial executive roles at venture-backed and public companies including TiVo, Interwave Communications, JDSU, Sigma Designs, and Persistence Software, among others in the telecommunications, networking, enterprise software and SaaS industries. Earlier in his career, Cal was a manager advising technology companies with Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, in its Silicon Valley and National offices.

Cal holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Jose State University. He is on the Accounting Advisory Board at Santa Clara University, and is a search and rescue Operations Leader and field member with Bay Area Mountain Rescue Unit, as well as a member of its Board of Directors.


  • Bruce Lacey, Vice President of Engineering

Bruce brings years of industry-leading management and technical expertise within mobile telecoms to Carrier IQ.

As Vice President of Product Solutions for Open Harbor, he developed and deployed a Customs Clearance system in 60 countries for DHL, the company's key customer. At Convey Software he served as Vice President of Product Development where he successfully transformed an internal large-scale globalization technology solution to an enterprise software product. As Vice President of Engineering at AllAdvantage.com, he was a member of the founding Executive Leadership team and was responsible for technical direction and oversight.

Bruce earned a Bachelor's degree in computer science from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.


  • Magnolia (Maggie) Mobley, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer

Maggie is responsible for legal, compliance and public policy matters. She also directs the company’s data protection strategy and practices.

She has over a decade of extensive experience in the telecommunications and information security fields. Maggie joined CIQ from Verizon where she spearheaded legal privacy compliance, global information use practices and enterprise level data protection mandates. She is a recognized expert and frequent speaker on all aspects of security and privacy laws and business practices. Her private practice experience includes representing clients on regulatory matters, civil litigation and commercial transactions.

Maggie holds a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from George Mason University. She is a member of the bar in the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Commonwealth of Virginia.


  • Bharat Srinivasan, Vice President, Asia Pacific

Bharat has over 24 years of IT experience of which more than 12 years have been in the telecommunications and networking industry. Prior to joining Carrier IQ, Bharat held various senior management positions as the Vice President / Regional Director of Asia Pacific Sales for Siebel Systems. Prior to Siebel Systems, Mr. Srinivasan was very successful running sales in Asia for edocs, Cosine Communications, Lucent Technologies, Ascend Communications and Stratus Computer where he was responsible for managing the services and support divisions for the region. Most recently Bharat was the CEO of Dtex Systems, a software solutions company specializing in insider threat management. Having worked extensively in the Asia Pacific region for the last 12 years he has an impressive track record of successfully selling and delivering quality solutions to various telecommunications service providers across the region.

Bharat earned a post-graduate degree from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani.


  • Yung Nguyen, Vice President of Operations

Yung is a seasoned IT and Wireless Telecoms executive with over 30 years of experience in developing, selling and managing the deployment of enterprise hardware/application, software/middleware and communications network solutions.

Before joining Carrier IQ, Yung was Vice President of Professional Services at edocs/Siebel, where he led an organization that specialized in the delivery of solutions to edocs/Siebel customers and included planning, design, development, and deployment of Customer Self-Service and e-Billing applications. Prior to joining edocs, Yung served as Vice President of Professional Services/Complex Solutions for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Lucent Technologies. He has also held various Professional Services & Technical Services senior management and technical positions at Ascend Communications, Stratus Computer, Computer Associates, and Cullinet Software.

Yung earned a Bachelor's degree in management advisory services and accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jeffrey is responsible for worldwide pre-sales, post-sales consulting, training and customer support at Carrier IQ.

Jeffrey has over a decade of experience leading Professional Services organizations that deliver to the mobile telecoms industry. Most recently, Jeffrey was the Director of Professional Services at Oracle Inc. (formally Siebel Systems) where he led a team focused on communications, energy, and media global verticals for Customer Self Service Internet Software. As the Director of Professional Services at Edocs, Inc., Jeffrey managed several large multiphase deployments of web-based customer self-service and electronic bill presentment and payment solutions. Prior to his position at Edocs, Jeffrey held leadership positions at Compaq Computer Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation.

Jeffrey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Telecoms from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Babson College.
